Animal feed form

A low NSC, pelleted feed designed for growing horses and pregnant and lactating mares consuming grass variety forages.

Description

Growth Pellet is a low NSC (15%), higher fat (8%), high fiber (18%) feed specially formulated for young, growing horses beginning at 3 months of age, as well as pregnant and lactating mares that require more calories in their diet. Because of the low sugar and starch (NSC) level, this feed is appropriate for mares with metabolic disorders and mares with histories of producing foals with Developmental Orthopedic Disorders. Growth Pellet is packed with premium, essential nutrients to support proper bone, cartilage and tissue development, as well as pre- and probiotics to support digestive health. It is ideal for horses consuming hay or pasture that is 50% or less alfalfa (or other legumes). If feeding hay or pasture that is 50% or more alfalfa, check out Alfa Growth®.

Benefits

  • Low sugar/starch (NSC) for horses with sensitivities and to help prevent instances of DOD.
  • Higher fat levels support moderate to harder-keeping horses.
  • This nutrient-rich formula supports pregnancy, lactation and growth.

Feeding Rate Calculator

Use Tribute's Feeding Rate Calculator to determine the proper feeding rate for your horse based on life stage, work level and body weight.

Meal Size & Frequency:

We recommend 2 or more meals per day. Do not exceed 5 lb per meal (4 lb for ponies, 6 lb for draft horses).

Provide at least 1.5% of your horse’s body weight in quality forage (hay/pasture) daily. (ex. 1,000 lb horse needs 15 lb of forage per day, minimum).

Be sure clean water is available at all times.
